(Princeton, New Jersey) Democrats held governor's office for 16 years Representative William Cahill is Republican candidate. 2-time Governor, Robert Meyner, tries for comeback, but without Democrat solidarity. [MEYNER - charges Cahill as 1 of land speculator pols. Unworthy of govship.] [CAHILL - charges Meyner involved with racing interests while governor] Meyner's feud with Hudson Cnty. Democrat boss, John Kenny, causes Kenny to take out ads supporting Cahill.
