(Studio) Tennessee attorney Fred Thompson reported conducting Senate Intelligence Committee investigations of CIA director William Casey.

(DC) [CASEY - notes reception given him by CIA employees following his mtg. with them.] Thompson's role during Watergate investigation recalled. [Senator Patrick LEAHY - notes general concern over Casey's competence as CIA director] Dilemma faced by committee in its inability to discuss publicly some issues pertaining to Casey's leadership of CIA due to intelligence sensitivity of information noted.
