(ME) Republican William Cohen runs against former prisoners of war Markhiam Gartley. [GARTLEY - says he's not basing campaign on prisoners of war record.] Gartley's feelings toward amnesty often asked. [GARTLEY - says alternative service should be available in military] Gartley and Cohen have no major disagreements. Cohen knows he's popular in Maine even after anti-Nixon vote on House judiciary impeachment committee [COHEN - doesn't think vote to be major factor in campaign.]
