Rockefeller plagued by his gifts of money to friends and political aides and also by Laurance Rockefeller's financial backing of derogatory biography of Arthur Goldberg. Goldberg opposed Nelson in 1970 New York gubernatorial race. Senator James Allen wants Senator Rules Committee to reopen hearings on Rockefeller's nomination
