(Studio) As defense presents arguments in Watergate cover-up trial, John Ehrlichman breaks stone wall of loyalty to former President Richard Nixon.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith
(DC) Ehrlichman's lawyer William Frates claims his client knew nothing of coverup and repeatedly recommended full disclosure. Frates charges Nixon deceived and misled Ehrlichman to cover up own activities. John Dean's appearance in court delayed till tomorrow. Watergate burglar G. Gordon Liddy released from jail pending case appeal.
