(Atlanta, Georgia) Technical problems possibly postponing space shuttle Columbia's upcoming launch with European space lab examined; apparent source of concern explained; scenes of last shuttle launch shown. Near-disaster situation in that launch due to booster problems discussed. Hypothetical outcome had booster problem occurred during last launch explained, illustrated on screen. [Operations manager Tom UTSMAN - notes seriousness of problem.] [Shuttle 8 pilot Dan. BRANDENSTEIN - concurs.] Booster mfrs. Morton-Thiokol in Brigham City, UT, mentioned continuing to test equipment.
