(Manteo, North Carolina) Construction of ship, Elizabeth II, as part of founding festivities and discovery that ship is too large for channel featured; background to situation explained. Films shown. Army Corps of Engineers said reconsidering dredging channel to allow ship's escape. [Corps spokesperson Larry SAUNDERS - acknowledges ship is main reason for reconsidering dredging.] Econs. involved in Corps possible project due to ship outlined; idea of building Elizabeth II smaller said not yet occurring to anyone.
