(Studio) Lebanese President Amin Gemayel said allegedly preparing to announce agreement between nation's warring factions.

(DC) Implications of possible agreement between factions for United States military presence in Lebanon examined; significance of Damascus radio's broadcast of President Reagan's thanks to President Hafez al-Assad for release of captured Navy flyer Lieutenant Robert Goodman noted. Unconfirmed report that Syria has withdrawn some units from Lebanon mentioned; USS Independence noted leaving region as well. Possible changes in Marine status in Beirut discussed. Both Israeli and Syrian govts. said allegedly approving plan.
