[Ann COLLINS - notes usual police response to reports of missing children.] Adam Walsh's abduction and murder recalled. [President REAGAN - opens National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.] [John WALSH - notes children are the real victims.] Center's purpose explained; number children reported missing and never found annually mentioned. [WALSH - warns that it can happen to anyone.] Push for Congress appropriation for center noted.
