[MATTHEWS - is proud to be American] Mary and Nick Matthews' aid to impoverished servicemen at their restaurant described. [MATTHEWS - fed servicemen free because they worked for freedom.] Couple noted donating large amount of land to state for museum commemorating United States independence; their aid to former South Vietnamese general noted. [MATTHEWS - likes charging moderate prices at restaurant, as well as helping those who can't pay.]
