(Studio) Iraq reported bombing Greek tanker at Iran's Kharg Island oil terminal; details given. Iran, denying involvement in Red Sea and Suez Canal region mines, reported praising terrorists responsible for explosions.

(Suez Canal) Contd. investigation into extent of explosive devices and their locations by United States and Egypt examined; Ayatollah Khomeini said confirming Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for mines, directed at US, Britain and France. Islamic Jihad recalled claiming responsibility for bombing United States embassy and Marine compound in Beirut, Lebanon. [Pentagon spokesperson Michael BURCH - acknowledges concern for safety of United States mine sweeping forces.]
