(Studio) Federal Energy Office head William Simon announces allocation of gasoline to be redistributed among 18 hard-hit states. Gas to come from oil company supplies. New Jersey among states to receive emergency allocation.

(Newark, New Jersey) [New Jersey state senate Frank DODD - announces large amts. of fuel now available to New Jersey through broker.] [Broker Ernest SALDUTTI - says unlimited supply of gasoline available to New Jersey. Fuel is foreign refined; can't reveal exact cntrys. supplying oil.] ABC learns some gasoline is domestic crude oil, refined abroad and shipped back; other gasoline sources may come from embargoed oil. IRS (Internal Revenue Service) investigates situation.
