(White House) White House lawyer James Saint Clair reviews Justice Department study and makes no changes. Saint Clair to write own version, however, outlining President' views. White House opinion on impeachable offenses reviewed.

(Capitol Hill) House Judiciary Committee meets to discuss impeachment probe. Representative Edward Hutchinson objects to television coverage of proceedings and chairperson Peter Rodino honors objection. [HUTCHINSON - doesn't want to turn proceedings into another Watergate hearing.] Special Watergate prosecutor Leon Jaworski furnishes committee with list of evidence obtained from White House [RODINO - expects Wite House to comply with request for evidence promptly.] [Majority cnsl. John DOAR - believes White House could comply with request within day or 2.]
