[KARPOV - cites need for cooperation.] Mikhail Gorbachev's upcoming visit to France noted first to West since becoming new USSR leader Reagan's warning about Gorbachev's French visit, in Paris newspaper, quoted on screen. President Francois Mitterrand said cognizant of Mitterrand's effort to split allies on Reagan's Star Wars program.
