(Studio) ABC learns vital safety modification recommended for DC-10 aircraft was never made on Turkish jetliner that crashed near Paris, France last wk.

(No location given) Cause of crash pinpointed to cargo door. Door not firmly closed, resulting in depressurization of plane after door blown off. Federal Safety Bd. ordered safety modifications after similar crash occurred in Canada in `72. United States airlines flying DC-10's report all safety changes suggested by Federal Aviation Administration have been made, but Federal Aviation Administration inspectors to check airline records for themselves.
