(Capitol Hill) Republican leaders generally praise last night's address to nation. At urging of Representative John Rhodes and Senator Hugh Scott, President lightened speech. [RHODES - hopes House Judiciary Committee won't become preoccupied with White House tapes.] [SCOTT - assumes President telling truth that all evidence with regard to Watergate released.] [Representative Carl ALBERT - doesn't think President complied with subpoena.] [Senator Mike MANSFIELD - wishes President would give serious thought to releasing actual tapes.]
