(Atlanta, Georgia: Peter Van Sant) FAA's investigation of Eastern Airlines reported now extending to Continental Airlines. [Federal Aviation Administration administration T. Allan McARTOR - comments on investigation.] Federal investigators noted finding million dollars in maintenance violations for Eastern Airlines. Violations noted causing investigators to widen scrutiny to Continental. [PASSENGERS - complain with regard to Continental.] Federal Aviation Administration officials quoted with regard to Eastern investigation and resulting plane groundings. [Commission on Aviation Safety spokesperson John ALBERTINE - urges more government regulations.] Texas Air and Federal Aviation Administration officials quoted with regard to future inspections of other airlines.
