(Baghdad: Allen Pizzey) The Iraqi-American Friendship Foundation reported winning promise from Iraqi President Saddam Hussein to free some American hostages; scenes shown from Baghdad meeting. Group of human shield hostages being held at liquid gas storage depot noted sending letter of protest to Iraqi government. Government reported allowing British hostages to leave with former British prime minister Edward Heath; scenes shown. In response to French peace gesture, Iraqi parliament noted meeting to discuss release of all French nationals; scenes shown of Finnish delegation taking home Finns. American delegation noted giving medicine to Iraqi version of Red Cross.
