(Studio) Attys. for Watergate cover-up defendants argue Nixon pardon offers new grounds for dismissal of charges.

(DC) Last ditch effort made to dislodge Judge Sirica from September 30 trial date. [John Mitchell attorney William HUNDLEY - says Nixon pardon should be extended to all.] Mitchell attys. plead "For one, for all." Haldeman attys. note new wave of publicity and its effect on getting a fair trial. Situation interpreted. Ford White House attitude said almost as damaging as Nixon White House attitude.
