(Los Angeles: Jerry Bowen) Implication of today's decision to list the Snake River sockeye salmon as an endangered species featured; excerpt shown of Idaho fish and wildlife tape of sockeye salmon. [National Marine Fisheries Service Rolland SCHMITTEN - says goal is to recover the species.] Details given of near extinction of the sockeye, changes necessary to save it. [Farmer Ralph THOMPSON - comments.] Three other strains of salmon said also under consideration for the endangered list.
