(Studio) Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, 76, suffers stroke in Nassau; in Walter Reed Hospital. Served on court since 1939.

(DC) Doctors say he'll recover if no setbacks. Douglas and wife, Cathy, flown back on Air Force jet at Ford's request. Douglas has pacemaker. Chief Justice Warren Burger says he's resting comfortably, alert and optimistic.
