(Studio) Sharp decline in tourist trade in Virgin Island made things tough for businessmen in `73 and `74 but it's looking up now.

(Saint Croix, Virgin Island) Tourist business collapsed following series of murders, but militancy subsides and tourists returning. [TOURISTS - reaction to Virgin Island as vacation haven.] Betty Sperber started campaign to increase tourism again. [SPERBER - says she feels absolutely safe on island] Blacks hurt by tourist decline also.
