(New York: Edie Magnus) Use of virtual reality technology to allow surgeons to practice tricky operations such as laparoscopy featured; scenes shown of how the computer imagery works. [Surgeon Frederick GREENE - says we are in the age of the Nintendo surgeon.] [American College of Surgeons Dr. Gerald STRAUCH - comments.] Hope that such computer simulation courses will increase the safety record of some surgical procedures noted.
