(Studio) Report on how administration rates self after nearly a year
REPORTER: Frank Reynolds

(DC) President Nixon pleased with 1st year Legis. victories: ABM, OEO, and aid to education. Major defeat: Haynsworth rejection. News media blamed for not publicizing some of social programs. Thus minorities don't know all President trying to do for them. Unconcerned over polarization efforts. President Nixon feels he has 1st reform administration since FDR. Feels he's lowered voices of dissent. White House admits intellectuals hate Nixon; points out they also hated LBJ.
