(Studio) Follow-up report on ex-sergeant Phil Hontz who went to Vietnam.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner

(Tillford, Pennsylvania) On December 7, 1970, ABC filmed Phil Hontz on leave from Vietnam, greeting wife, Rhonda. Stayed 10 days and went back to war. [HONTZ - believes in cause we're fighting for in Vietnam.]

(Greencastle, IN) 2 years later, ABC filmed Hontz family again. Rhonda working to send Phil to Depauw University, where he studied biology. Son was 2 and there were lots of bills.
REPORTER: Jim Kincaid

(Wappingers Falls, New York) Phil is biologist; working on environmental study. They have another child. Rhonda teaches kindergarten as volunteer. [HONTZ - says may have done wrong thing with regard to war.] [Rhonda HONTZ - says we shouldn't be criticized for our decision (with regard to Phil fighting in Vietnam).]
