(Studio) Report on obstacles that prevent someone in wheelchair from finding productive work.
REPORTER: Ted Koppel

(Chicago, Illinois) Steps and elevator buttons pose obstacles for those in wheelchair. Toilet facilities also important. Dan Horan, victim of polio, has job with private foundation. [HORAN - says people afraid of things they don't know about. Most people don't know what handicapped people can do.] Horan trained in skills at Rehabilitation Institution of Chicago. Facilities shown. [Placement specialist Bob ARMAROLI - says problem alleviated when employer realizes person in wheelchair just like anyone else except for being in wheelchair. Must convince employer that he wants to do it; not that he must.]
