(Madrid, Spain) Franco took over nation in ruins and raised her to top 10 in ind. ntns. He outlasted all world leaders His attributes cited. Film shows Franco. In Spanish civil war, he led winning side, supported by Germany and Italy. USSR supported losers. Left-wing orgs. of Europe never forgave him for that. Spain neutral in World War II. United States naval and air bases constructed and maintained in Spain. Richard Nixon and Vice President Gerald Ford's visit to Spain shown. Ford visited as President also. 45% of all Spaniards not born when Franco began his rule.
