(Studio) Judge Oliver Carter declares Patricia Hearst able to stand trial.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(San Francisco, California) Carter says she may need psychiatric care but is competent to stand trial. Denies defense motion for delay while she recs. psychiatric care in hospital. [Defense attorney Albert JOHNSON - says psychiatrists agree it's impossible to treat her in jail.] [US attorney James BROWNING - says Hearst doesn't qualify for out-patient treatment and such a thing wouldn't be done for ordinary prisoner.] She'll be arraigned Monday and trial date to be set.
