(Capitol: Bob Schieffer) The ethics committee's surprise decision to postpone hearings on House Speaker Newt Gingrich's violations after a meeting with Representative Dick Armey reported. [Representative Nancy JOHNSON - makes the announcement.] [Representative Nancy PELOSI - says the Republican members destroyed all confidence.] Transcripts of a telephone call apparently picked up by a police scanner and printed by the New York Times in which Gingrich and top lieutenants were planning a public relations campaign to counter the ethics allegations outlined. [Representatives John BOEHNER, Jim McDERMOTT - comment.]
