(Studio) Defense Department keeps close watch on USSR trawler fleet outside Virginia and North Carolina coasts.
REPORTER: Frank Reynolds
(DC) 85 fishing trawlers on Virginia coast; 20 violated United States territorial waters. Coast Guard chased them out of 12 mile limit. Senator William Spong, 2 representatives and Coast Guard admiral made aerial inspection of area. NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) to launch weather experiment rockets; Russians free to watch.
