(Studio) In 1973, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) formed to help government put end to drug traffic; problems prevent effective federal drug war.

(DC) Interagency rivalry between DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and United States Customs Service downgrades federal war on drugs; exs. given. DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and Customs Service supposedly cooperate with each other, but it just doesn't happen; drug smuggler helped by interagency rivalry.

(Studio) 2 FBI agents tell Senate committee they were limited in investigation of alleged cover-up of improper behavior by DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) agents by then Dep. Attorney General Laurence Siiberman. Silberman to testify at hearings.
