(Studio) Senate subcommittee investigating questionable foreign activities by Northrop Corporation

(DC) Northrop major supplier of fighter aircraft to foreign cntrys. Chairperson Northrop's executive committee Richard Millar admits Northrop paid $450,000 to Northrop agent who said money needed for 2 Saudi Arabian gens. that were stumbling blocks to F-5E contracts. Senator Frank Church asks if contract would have been lost without payoff. [MILLAR - assumes contract would have been in peril if payment not made.] Millar indicates payoffs not uncommon in his business.
