(Studio) Somalia government denies USSR base at Berbera. Invites journalists to take a look.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith
(Somalia) Ground scene matches Pentagon photographs. Eventually got into bldgs., but without cameras. No installations could be entered. [REPORTER - questions official with regard to secrecy.] [OFFICIAL - says "this is too much."] Brannigan and another reporter got back in, but could not get into bldgs. No Sovs. seen. Also no missile - firing equipment. Lots of heat generated, but little light.
