(Studio) Congress and White House move toward compromise with regard to oil prices.

(DC) President Ford approves new plan to extend decontrol phase-out to 36 mos. Windfall profits tax and rebate for consumers incld. If Congress doesn't agreed Ford will let controls expire.

(Studio) Mobil Oil profits for 2nd quarter down 46%. Standard Oil of IN down 17%. Shell Oil down 5.2%. 1974 profits extra high.
