(Indianapolis, IN) Young Republicans backed Barry Goldwater in 1964; backed Richard Nixon. Watergate has hurt. Conservatism noted. [DELEGATE - says young Republicans convention all about pols.] [DELEGATE - wants less government] [DELEGATE - this is where it's at.] [DELEGATE - came for fun and political instruction.] Young conservatives seek president ticket they can support. [DELEGATES - react to questions with regard to President Ford, Nelson Rockefeller, Ronald Reagan, John Connally.] Ronald Reagan came and got warm reception; Gerald Ford stayed away. Power of incumbent noted. [SPEAKER - notes job young GOPs must do.]
