(Studio) Committee studying CIA took closed-door testimony from retired major general Edward Lansdale assistant to ex-Defense Secretary Robert McNamara.

(DC) Conflict exists over what exactly Lansdale did. 1 report says he put Castro death plot in motion at request of Robert F. Kennedy. [Senator Frank CHURCH - says Nixon President at time Houston plan set up and his connection with other CIA activities will be proper subject for interrogation when time comes.] Nixon testimony many weeks off. Kennedy administration to be questioned next.
