Free shuttle bus service promised from hotels to center Will cost most delegates more to fly here than to NYC. But restaurants and hotels are cheaper. City has balanced budget in state where Democrats hold most elected offices.

(NYC) Union leaders support convention 10,000 hotel rooms within 10 minute walk of Madison Square Garden. 4,500 rooms within 1 block. Statler Hilton has 60 caucus rooms 7 minute from Madison Square Garden. Ea. delegate to pay average $325 for 3 days. City needs money.
