(NYC) Orders for new products, especially clothing, booming. Index has climbed for 5 mos. in row. Index shows improved work week per average employee, stock prices and building permits. Some econs. fear consumers will stop buying again. Econs. from 1st National City Bank and Merrill Lynch see possible drop in output of goods and services. Optimistic government report questioned.
