(Studio: Dan Rather) The arrival in Beijing of American negotiators for talks concerning a downed American spy plane held on Hainan Island, China, reported.
(Washington: Bob Orr) The release of new videotapes showing that Chinese fighter jets have repeatedly flown too close to American spy planes reported; video segments shown of Chinese fighter pilots. [Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral Craig QUIGLEY - says the Chinese can check out the American planes but not fly too aggressively.] [State Department spokesman Richard BOUCHER - says the United States wants the plane back.]
