(Studio) United States economy problems face Carter, but these connected to international economy problems.

(DC) Report on international economy problems facing new administration and proposed plans for summit on issue among leaders of Western world in early spring. Treasury Secretary William Simon has offered to advise Carter with regard to financial state of world. Puerto Rico conference on issue held in July by Japan, Britain, France, Italy, West Germany and Canada noted; plans for economy recovery then proposed haven't worked.
