(San Francisco: Rusty Dornin) The seizure in California of smuggled automatic weapons in an undercover sting operation called Operation Dragon Fire featured; photos shown of the suspects. [US Customs Service Wayne YAMASHITA - cites the kinds of weapons available from the smugglers.] The possibility that the Chinese government had knowledge of the smuggling operation noted. [Chinese diplomat DONGHAI Liu - offers denial.] [US Customs Service Richard KLINK - says the market was drug dealers and organized crime.] [Representative Charles SCHUMER - says the administration should reconsider granting China most favored nation status.]
