(Studio: Richard Blystone) The preparations in Northern Ireland for elections on the peace process reported; scenes shown of British foreign secretary Malcolm Rifkind, who is in Washington for a meeting with President Clinton. [RIFKIND - hopes the peace process in the Middle East will continue after the elections there and that Israel and the Palestinians can reach agreement on the issues, which the United Kingdom would then endorse; restates the purposes of the Northern Ireland elections before the June 10 all-party talks.]
