(Ramallah, on the West Bank: Walter Rodgers) The dangerous working conditions for Arab journalists on the job in the Middle East featured; scenes shown of a Palestinian cameraman being clubbed by Israelis. [Cameraman Abed KHABAISA, "El Kuds" newspaper Maher Al ALMAR - comment on the press and politics in the region.] The pressure on journalists from Palestinian Authority president Yasir Arafat noted; examples cited of Palestinian activities that could not be reported by the Palestinian press because of pressure from both Israel and Palestinian authorities.
