[President CLINTON - says we have sought no confrontation with Saddam.] [Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman John SHALIKASHVILI - sums up the current situation in and over the no-fly zone.] The United States military readiness in the area reviewed. [Secretary of Defense William PERRY - says the allies agree that Saddam is a threat and must be contained.]
