(Studio) Reporter interviews Justice Department's DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) director Peter Bensinger with regard to drug problem. Asks Bensinger if Mexico program is working and is answer to problem. [BENSINGER - says there's no magic answer, but Mexico program is working.] Reporter asks why people dealing in traffic not put in prison. [BENSINGER - says problem is having no meaningful deterrent to traffickers, no strong penalty for hard drug use and sale, and no consistency in sentencing.] Reporter asks if Bensinger thinks present program is making progress. [BENSINGER - says program is making progress, but Mexico program can't be considered answer, and precautions must be taken with regard to opium growth elsewhere and domestic controls strengthened.]
