(Studio) Crowded airlines and buslines noted. Derailment over Potomac River of Conrail freight train blocked other trains on north/south lines from New York to Miami.

(Washington, DC) Amtrak official's comment noted. [1st MAN - gives time of delayed leaving.] [WOMAN - says waiting is pain in the neck.] [2nd MAN - tells of delay to friends over phone.] [2nd WOMAN - says people are not particularly charitable at Christmas time.] Trains finally running by late afternoon.
