(Studio) Reporter notes Gerald Ford's problem of his granting Nixon amnesty and results of amnesty on election.
REPORTER: Barbara Walters
(Vail, Colorado) In telephone call to widow of Philip Hart, Ford was requested to extend "blanket amnesty" to Vietnam protestors, draft dodgers and deserters. President promised Mrs. Hart he would look into matter between now and January 20th. He didn't make any commitments.
