(New Hampshire) Bayh pictured campaigning. Bayh said close to Morris Udall and Fred Harris on issues. Re: abortion [BAYH - is personally opposed, but does not favor const. amendment forbidding abortion.] Re: detente, defense spending [BAYH - believes detente oversold, though would limit arms race.] Re: busing [BAYH - favors it as last measure for quality education; does not favor const. amendment.] Re: economy [BAYH - would offer government employment to all not employed in private sector, such as RR, sanitary, and urban renewal work.] Bayh tries to catch up with Jimmy Carter and Udall. [Campaign WORKER - emphasizes personal contact.] Bayh boosters campaign through New Hampshire; fear Bayh to be lost in crowd of liberal candidates.
