(Studio) Report on Patricia Hearst trial.
REPORTER: Harry Reasoner
(San Francisco, California) [Defense attorney F. Lee BAILEY - says prosecutor James Browning's cross-exam. of Hearst is unsuccessful.] Examples of Browning's "bumbling" cross-exam. noted. Hearst admits that several items in affidavit she signed after her arrest weren't true. Jury already heard that affidavit was written by previous attorney and signed by her under stress. Hearst says not sure if she was brainwashed.
