(State Department: Steve Hurst) Statement from Secretary of State Madeleine Albright that the United States is ready to use military force against Iraq, if necessary, presented. [ALBRIGHT - says the United States is prepared to go against Iraq unilaterally; adds that there must be a policy of "don't trust, do verify" with regard to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.] Albright's plans to talk to France and Russia about Iraq and Russia efforts to defuse the crisis through diplomacy outlined. The call from Iraq that chief United Nations weapons inspector Richard Butler be reprimanded for charging that Iraq has stockpiles of biological weapons noted.
